Feng Shui Love Symbol- Mandarin Duck

For centuries, Feng Shui has served as a guiding light to many, showing the way to
success, health, and happiness. There are many aspects of this discipline that come into play in determining the state of a home, workplace, or place of business. Even in the manner people perceive love and relationships, Feng Shui items have provided answers. As they have been used and trusted for many years, so are these beliefs held today.

Among the most well-known Feng Shui products that symbolize love and relationships are the Mandarin Ducks, known in Chinese as Yuan-yuang. These magnificent and affectionate creatures have been featured in many Feng Shui enhancers because of how perfectly they represent togetherness, fidelity, and love. When observed in the natural habitat, the male and female Mandarin Duck are always close together, and very rarely will you see one that is all alone. Chinese legend has it that if either one is separated from its mate, the Mandarin Duck will be devastated. It will yearn for its partner, and die from loneliness. In the same way that the Mandarin Duck loves and values its mate, so should the man and woman become in their relationship.

In the realm of Feng Shui products, Mandarin Ducks are commonly used as Feng Shui cures for people who are single, searching for a partner, or are unlucky when it comes to love. Even for married couples, Mandarin Ducks are still popular Feng Shui enhancers to have around the home, as they strengthen the togetherness of the husband and wife, and also help them achieve marital bliss.

As one of the effective Feng Shui remedies for love, devotion, marriage luck, and fidelity, the Feng Shui Mandarin Ducks should be placed in the South West portion of the house, or the South West portion of the bedroom. It has been said that as traditional Feng Shui cures, the Mandarin Ducks allow its owner or anyone near it to emit a strong love chi. This can make you more lovable and more attractive to your potential partner. As for married couples, the strong love chi given by the Mandarin Ducks keeps them happy together, making them love each other more deeply.

My Special Friendship

DO YOU BELIEVE

Do You Believe?
Look into your heart and tell me what you see.
Am I still on your mind; are you thinking of me?
Do you wake in the night and let out a sigh?
Do you whisper my name and wonder why;
I can't be there with you tonight?
With you in my arms, holding you tight?

Do you believe in the miracle of Love
Do you believe in you
Do you believe in Love
Do you believe it could happen to you

Take me in your arms, don't ever leave
With you in my arms, I'll make you believe!
I believe in Love, always and forever.
I believe in us, you and I together.
I can't believe Love is pain,
You have everything to lose and nothing to gain.
Tell me you believe and look into my eyes...
Do you believe... I'm not like the other guys?

Hold on tight, for I've given you my heart;
Heart and soul from the very start.
For your Love, I'll wait forever
With all my heart, I believe we'll be together.
Tell me you believe Love is bliss,
That you can believe in the magic of our first kiss.
Answer me one question, now, before I leave...
Tell me, Do You Believe?

Friends Forever

I'm sending this poem to show you I care,
To say thank you for being there.
Best friends we'll always be,
In every problem, it's you and me.
Through thick and thin, I won't go away.
And just the same, I hope you'll stay.
As we go through life, things won't change.
Let's not let our friendship rearrange.
I'll make new friends, and so will you,
But we won't split up like others do.
With our friendship staying strong,
We'll be together right or wrong.
Though we might occasionally have a fight,
We'll always make up by the end of the night.
As my best friend, you mean lots to me,
It's a bond you'll always see.
So, in a jam, no need to worry.
I'll be at your side in a hurry.
I know you're there for me too,
I think you know, I'll be there for you!
In life, friends may come and go.
But, there's a special friend you'll always know.
They are there when you need them. No questions asked.
Their love is permanent, it will never pass.
They'll always be with you, leave you never.
And that's why we'll be friends forever!
And if for some reason, we are torn apart,
Remember, you'll always be in my heart.

True Love

 True love. Is it normal

is it serious, is it practical?
What does the world get from two people
who exist in a world of their own?

Placed on the same pedestal for no good reason,
drawn randomly from millions but convinced
it had to happen this way - in reward for what?
For nothing.
The light descends from nowhere.
Why on these two and not on others?
Doesn't this outrage justice? Yes it does.
Doesn't it disrupt our painstakingly erected principles,
and cast the moral from the peak? Yes on both accounts.

Look at the happy couple.
Couldn't they at least try to hide it,
fake a little depression for their friends' sake?
Listen to them laughing - its an insult.
The language they use - deceptively clear.
And their little celebrations, rituals,
the elaborate mutual routines -
it's obviously a plot behind the human race's back!

It's hard even to guess how far things might go
if people start to follow their example.
What could religion and poetry count on?
What would be remembered? What renounced?
Who'd want to stay within bounds?

True love. Is it really necessary?
Tact and common sense tell us to pass over it in silence,
like a scandal in Life's highest circles.
Perfectly good children are born without its help.
It couldn't populate the planet in a million years,
it comes along so rarely.

Let the people who never find true love
keep saying that there's no such thing.

Their faith will make it easier for them to live and die.

Cyber dating... Kathy and Todd in the Fall of 2006

I had tried love at AOL and met a lot of men... all at local coffee shops so that I would be safe and could decide if it was someone with whom I would be interested in. Nobody ever seemed to be what I was truly looking for.

Then one summer day in 2001 I received a response from an ad that I placed with AOL. It was a guy named Todd who was employed by an airline in a city nearby. He lived about 40 minutes from me and seemed very nice. We emailed for about a week...then he had to leave to help a friend move across the country. I figured I wouldn't hear from him again, although he did send his pic to me and I found him attractive.

Low and behold, he instant messaged me upon his return home about a week later. We made a date to meet on that Sunday coming at a coffee shop in the city I resided. He drove down on his motorcycle and we had breakfast together that morning. I really liked him a lot. He was so kind and such a gentlemen - how refreshing it was!

We took a ride on his motorcycle and ended up about 20 miles away at the ocean. It was fantastic! We shared an ice cream and a wonderful conversation. It was the best day I have had in years. We continued to date and get to know each other. At one point we almost ended our relationship because he failed to tell me that he was married twice before. We worked through that and remained together. After dating for about 13 months we talked about having a child together..he was 35 and I was 37.

Although he was married before neither of those woman were able to give him a child (lucky for me!)..2 months later I found out I was pregnant. We married in January of 2003 and our son was born in June of 2003. We sold both of our properties that we separately owned and bought a home of our own in the next state over from where we met. We are going strong and so much in love.

My oldest son is 14yrd old now and happy to have a little brother. My little guy is 3 yrs old and would steal your heart. I am so happy that "cyber dating" existed  I do tell people that you must be so careful and play smart, but your prince charming may only be an instant message away!
