Who are they and how do you connect with them?

Spirit guides are incorporeal beings that are assigned to us before we are born that help nudge and guide us through life. They’re responsible for helping us fulfill the spiritual contract we make with ourselves before we incarnate. Your higher self helps select these guides, who help us while we are living out our incarnation.

Who are these guides?
Some guides will stay with you throughout your entire life, and others will pop in every now and again to help you with specific areas of your life or goals you are trying to achieve. These guides are at varying levels of consciousness themselves. Some may be highly ascended masters (such as Jesus) and others might be your average spirit who just happens to be a master in a certain area. They may appear to have a male or female energy, though in reality they are just energy. They may be spirits who have had physical incarnations, or they might be spirits who have never taken corporeal form. You may be the only person they are guiding, or they may be on the “panel” for other people as well. They might be deceased relatives, but that is less likely. When it’s time for your spirit guides to help you, they tune in to your energy and help direct you to fulfill your earthly mission.

How do guides help us?
Spirit guides can see what’s going on in our lives, and when it’s time for them to actually guide and/or intervene they have several ways they can accomplish this.

1. Sending signs. Guides can arrange synchronicities to help alert you to something you need to see or know about. Pay attention to those when they happen. Recently the same scene from the movie, The Incredibles, was shown to me 3 times in 3 different ways in a 24 hour period. I saw it at home while my kids were watching it, at Office Depot (it was playing as a demo on the tv), and someone else mentioned that particular scene to me in conversation. That’s a sign, folks. I got the message.
2. Gut feelings. Guides can poke you in the gut when you’re experiencing something they want you to pay attention to. Following your gut feelings is probably a good idea. Have you ever had this eerie feeling that something terrible was going to happen but you couldn’t quite put your finger on it? That might be a guide poking you in your gut.
3. Intuitive insight. Guides can send you flashes of intuition which may sound like a voice in your head. “Slow down!” and then you realize you were almost in a car accident. Or “He’s cheating on you.” These are thoughts that appear to come out of nowhere but which contain important information you’ll want to notice. Many people tune out their intuition, but it’s a valuable source of information.
4. Sending people into your life. Your guides sometimes get together with other people’s guides and together they try to create a meeting between their charges. Perhaps you are thinking about someone from college and whammo blammo see them in the bookstore later that day. Chance encounter? Probably not. Perhaps you were thinking about moving and you run into your old realtor friend in the supermarket. If it feels like a coincidence, consider that it might be more of a set up.
5. Arranging and nudging. Guides can also nudge you in the direction they want you to go, or arrange for something to happen to you. For example, perhaps you’re running late and can’t find your keys. You’re frustrated because you need to get somewhere on time. Suddenly, your phone rings and it’s a really important call you would have missed if you had found your keys earlier. Who do you think actually misplaced your keys? This is hard for them because you have free will. They can only arrange so much or nudge so hard. The more you can pick up on their clues, the better. Sometimes you just need to surrender to a situation that seems frustrating.

How do you connect with your guides directly?
Wouldn’t it be great if your guides could just call you on the phone and tell you what’s coming in your future, or tell you to look out for a guy named Joe, or that your child needs you and you should get to them right away? For some people that’s quite nearly how it works. It just takes time and practice to be able to hear, see, or feel your guides. Here are some ways you can work on increasing your connection directly.

1. Listen to your intuition. That little voice that tells you to “slow down” or “buy bread” or “take notice of the pretty woman in line in front of you” is a direct communication from your guides or higher self. Try listening to your intuition and see what results you get. Many people dismiss their intuition. See what happened to me when I ignored mine. It’s not always pleasant. Do not mistake your ego for your intuition, however. If you’re hearing thoughts like, “Don’t bother asking her out, she’ll never go out with someone like you” then that’s your ego. Flick him off your shoulder.
2. Go with your gut. Following your gut instinct is also a manner in which guides try to direct you. For example, let’s say you’re in a business meeting and logic and reason tell you that the people sitting in front of you will fulfill their end of the deal, but your gut feeling says these people are going to fail to deliver and you’ll be stuck holding the bag. Listen to that gut feeling. If something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. At the very least, use your gut feelings to protect and keep yourself safe.
3. Watch for signs. Ask your guides for what you want and then watch for signs that you’ve been heard. My guides like to show me interesting license plates. For example, at my mastermind meeting recently I put out the intention to become fit, trim, and slim. When I left the meeting I found myself driving behind a vehicle with the license plate, “Fitness.” But signs can come in so many ways. Maybe you’re wondering if you should take up tennis and you go out to your car and see a flyer offering tennis classes in your area, and then you get home and your spouse has coincidentally brought home a tennis racket that a co-worker just didn’t need anymore, and you see a news story about tennis later that night on television. Those are all positive signs.
4. Journal. A method I recommend to a lot of people during my readings is to open a journal program or just a Word document and write down some questions you’d like to ask your guides. Be quiet and meditative and type up the answers you hear. Keep going as if you’re having a conversation with them. It may seem like you’re just typing answers from your imagination, but keep going. When you get to a point where the answers you’re getting don’t feel like your own voice, take notice of what they say. A benefit of this approach is being able to refer back to it later.
5. Meditate. Do a meditation where you imagine yourself going to a room or a garden and ask your guides to appear before you, sit with you, and chat. Like the journaling method, just see what they say. In time your connection will become stronger, and the information you get will be more accurate and applicable to your life.
6. Dream. One of the best ways to meet and connect with your guides is to meet them halfway. Open your dream up to them. You can put out the intention every night to see and connect with your guides in your dreams. It may take a while, but it will probably eventually work. If you can master lucid dreaming you’ll have success much faster since once you become lucid you can simply ask your guides to appear and talk to you.
7. Ask a psychic. One of the services I offer in my readings is to help people identify at least some of their guides, usually the ones working with them on the areas they’re asking about in the reading. This introduction can help you tune in on your guides yourself.

How do you know if you’re just imagining them?
You’ll know by the advice you get. Does it resonate with you? Do you feel like it’s coming from them and not you? Does the advice make sense to you? Do you get great results when you listen to their counsel? Do they appear the same way every time? If the answers to these questions are all “yes” then you are on the right track. You may wonder if you’re actually in tune with your guides or not, but the most important thing to remember is that if you get great results and you’re happier, does it really matter where the information is coming from?

Could I be in love?

Am I in love? How to know if you’re falling for someone

Love is a funny thing: although it’s a very strong and unmistakable feeling, there have still been countless of people throughout history who have asked themselves the important question “am I in love?” Especially for someone who has never been in love before, romance can be very confusing, and trying to figure out if you’re actually falling for someone or whether you just like them can be a real romantic conundrum!

Luckily, there are a few symptoms of true love that can help you answer “am I in love?” and make your feelings easier to deal with. Unfortunately, love and it’s close cousins, puppy love and lust, can be easily confused for one another in the early stages, so it’s important to get it right and figure out if you’re really in love or if you just have a temporary crush on someone. It’s easy to define a few of the indications that your feelings are genuine love.

One very important factor to answer the question “am I in love” is whether you care more about their happiness and well being than your own. If you get the overwhelming feeling that you want this person to be happy no matter what, even if it means they can’t be with you, then you are probably falling in love with them. Putting someone’s well being above your own is a great indication that you are in love.

You’re also probably in love with someone if you don’t mind giving up certain aspects or good things in your own life in order to be with them and make them happy. If you find that you don’t care as much anymore about giving up your extra time or money on that special someone, or you don’t want to hang out with the same old crowd anymore, then you may have you answer to “am I in love?”

Even if you do decide that you are really in love, make sure that you take it slow and don’t rush your romance with this new special person. A romantic relationship is something that needs to be developed slowly and nurtured, and the slower you take your romance the better chances you have for it working out. So, “am I in love?” . . . well the answer to that question is up to you, and the success of your attempts have everything to do with how you approach the person you are falling in love with!

Chakras

What's a Chakra?

Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel, or vortex, and it refers to each of the seven energy centers of which our consciousness, our energy system, is composed.

These chakras, or energy centers, function as pumps or valves, regulating the flow of energy through our energy system. The functioning of the chakras reflects decisions we make concerning how we choose to respond to conditions in our life. We open and close these valves when we decide what to think, and what to feel, and through which perceptual filter we choose to experience the world around us.

The chakras are not physical. They are aspects of consciousness in the same way that the auras are aspects of consciousness. The chakras are more dense than the auras, but not as dense as the physical body. They interact with the physical body through two major vehicles, the endocrine system and the nervous system. Each of the seven chakras is associated with one of the seven endocrine glands, and also with a group of nerves called a plexus. Thus, each chakra can be associated with particular parts of the body and particular functions within the body controlled by that plexus or that endocrine gland associated with that chakra.

All of your senses, all of your perceptions, all of your possible states of awareness, everything it is possible for you to experience, can be divided into seven categories. Each category can be associated with a particular chakra. Thus, the chakras represent not only particular parts of your physical body, but also particular parts of your consciousness.

When you feel tension in your consciousness, you feel it in the chakra associated with that part of your consciousness experiencing the stress, and in the parts of the physical body associated with that chakra. Where you feel the stress depends upon why you feel the stress. The tension in the chakra is detected by the nerves of the plexus associated with that chakra, and transmitted to the parts of the body controlled by that plexus. When the tension continues over a period of time, or to a particular level of intensity, the person creates a symptom on the physical level.

The symptom speaks a language that reflects the idea that we each create our reality, and the metaphoric significance of the symptom becomes apparent when the symptom is described from that point of view. Thus, rather than saying, "I can't see," the person would describe it as keeping themselves from seeing something. "I can't walk," means the person has been keeping themselves from walking away from a situation in which they are unhappy. And so on.

The symptom served to communicate to the person through their body what they had been doing to themselves in their consciousness. When the person changes something about their way of being, getting the message communicated by the symptom, the symptom has no further reason for being, and it can be released, according to whatever the person allows themselves to believe is possible.
As there are seven levels to the chakras and seven colours of the rainbow, the slowest vibration of visible light, red, is associated with the base chakra (The 1st and slowest chakra). The fastest and shortest, violet, is associated with the crown (the 7th and fastest chakra). Each of the other colours (orange, yellow, green, blue and indigo) represent the chakras between.

There are also corresponding elements (earth, water, fire, air and ether) to each of the chakras:

Earth - Base Chakra - Red
Water - Sacral Chakra - Orange
Fire - Solar Plexus Chakra - Yellow
Air - Heart Chakra - Green (& pink)
Ether - Throat Chakra - Turquoise (blue)

Each element has it’s own individual quality and feature and can be seen to represent the functions and qualities of each of it’s chakra counterpart

Fulfilling Your Dreams with the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success

Fulfilling Your Dreams with the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success
There are many aspects to success; material wealth is only one component. Moreover, success is a journey, not a destination. Material abundance, in all its expressions, happens to be one of those things that makes the journey more enjoyable. But success also includes good health, energy and enthusiasm for life, fulfilling relationships, creative freedom, emotional and psychological stability, a sense of well-being and peace of mind. Even with the experience of all these things, we will remain unfulfilled unless we nurture the seeds of divinity inside us. In reality, we are divinity in disguise, and the gods and goddesses in embryo that are contained within us seek to be fully materialized. Although I call the laws I'm about to discuss The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, they could easily be called The Seven Spiritual Laws of Life. This is because they are the same principles that nature uses to create everything in material existence--everything we can see, hear, smell, taste or touch.

Success in life could be defined as the continued expansion of happiness and the progressive realization of worthy goals. Success is the ability to fulfill your desires with effortless ease. And yet success, including the creation of wealth, has always been considered a process that requires hard work, and it is often considered to be at the expense of others. We need a more spiritual approach to success and to affluence, which is the abundant flow of all good things to you. With the knowledge and practice of spiritual law, we put ourselves in harmony with nature and create with carefreeness, joy and love. True success is the experience of the miraculous. It is the unfolding of the divinity within us. It is the perception of divinity wherever we go, in whatever we perceive--in the eyes of a child, in the beauty of a flower, in the flight of a bird. When we begin to experience our life as the miraculous expression of divinity--not occasionally, but all the time--then we will know the true meaning of success.

Now let's go over The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success and see how we can apply them in our lives.

The Seven Laws of Yoga: Law 1 - Law of Pure Pentiality

The Seven Laws of Yoga: Law 2 - Law of Giving & Receiving

The Seven Laws of Yoga: Law 3 - Law of Karma

The Seven Laws of Yoga: Law 4 - Law of Least Effort

The Seven Laws of Yoga: Law 5 - Law of Intention & Desire

The Seven Laws of Yoga: Law 6 - Law of Detachment

The Seven Laws of Yoga: Law 7 - Law of Dharma

The Soul’s Character

That night while returning home, I met a stranger, and became friends with him.
Looking into his eye, I found myself. Fear melted into the shadows. Strength returned to my limbs. That night while returning home, I met a stranger whose name was Courage. I made friends with him!

Indeed, the qualities of the spirit are the spirit’s true mates. The rest is rubble. Our soul’s character traits are our long lasting companions, not just because they cling to us even after our body crumbles, but they stay loyal till the final culmination of our soul’s merging with the Source. Furthermore, they can be instrumental in literally pushing us back there! They are like the eyes and limbs of the soul -– deciding how you see what you see, and how far you walk along your any chosen path. The stronger and sharper they are, the stronger of a force you are. Therefore, instead of waiting for a soul mate to land in your life, nourish one in your own soul.

While finding an ideal physical mate may be challenging, finding an ideal character mate is easy. There are plenty we have not nurtured! We can choose any which one at our discretion — courage, patience, humility, happiness, faith — depending on the need of the hour. Courage is a very powerful soul companion, because it makes you win forever, leaves you unfazed in the face of both good and bad karma, and does not allow a defeat to be your downfall. If you nurture detachment as your soul companion, you need little else. You can hope to live like a lotus in the mucky waters of Maya, untouched by all that surrounds you. Even if you already do have a great character companion, the link can continue to be strengthened, until the relationship becomes one of perfection.

Soul characteristics get nurtured each time we choose them against their opposite. Each time we decide to be magnanimous instead of being stingy, giving instead of withholding, and loving in place of loathing, we strengthen the link with our character mates. Taste the sweetness of making the right choice every time and doing the right deed before the show is over.

How You Create Your Own Karma

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success – How You Create Your Own Karma

Your Karma is sometimes understood to mean that your fate in this life is predetermined by your previous actions. There’s no use struggling against Karma – what will be, will be. The true meaning of Karma is very different. Karma is more like the physical law of Cause and Effect – your current actions cause your past, your present and your future. Understanding the latter, more optimistic point of view is essential to your spiritual development.

Karma is inextricably linked with our freedom of action as human beings. We are free in every moment to choose what we think, how we act, what we believe and what’s important to us. The snag is that we only make a limited number of our choices consciously through rational, logical thought. Many of our choices are made unconsciously.

A simple example is the choice to jerk your hand away when you touch a hot kettle- this is a good choice to make because it protects us physically, and we make it instantaneously through the reflexes of our nervous system.

However as sophisticated beings, we have a subconscious mind that is capable of acquiring much more wide ranging and subtle conditioning and making decisions based on past conditioning. If we are exposed to some sort of stress for a period of time – maybe your parents went through a bitter divorce as a young child, you will acquire conditioning that leads to your reacting in predictable, habitual ways as an adult.

Similarly, you can make choices as to how you act in various situations. At first you will need to consciously choose how you act. You are likely to make the same choice time and time again until it becomes a reflex. For example you may choose to distrust someone, even though you find out later on that this was a mistake. If you’ve acquired the habit of distrusting them, it is very likely that you won’t discover your mistake.

Both of these events are examples of your past conditioning your mind and affecting your future. One is largely out of your control, one is entirely within your control.

How can I create my Own Karma

Even though Karma is one of the seven spiritual laws of success it can be changed, contrary to popular belief. Put it another way, even though your childhood conditioning is largely out of your control, you can choose to change it in later life. Similarly you can change any conditioning you have acquired later in your life.

More importantly, by being careful about your choices and realising that every choice you make will produce a future result, you can learn to make choices in the present that will lead to more desirable outcomes in the future.

The first step in making better choices is to become aware of the choices you are making at present – both the conscious choices that you apply your rational mind to and the subconscious choices that come from conditioning.

Develop the habit of watching yourself as you make these choices. This may take a little time if you are not aware of your choices today. Subconscious choices can be made very quickly, out of your conscious awareness, but they will leave tell tale signs like emotions and thoughts.

The second step is to learn to make better choices. One key to doing this is to learn to listen to your body as you make choices. Ask yourself, “will this choice be beneficial for me” and then listen for a response. You will know in your heart whether this is a good choice or not.

The law of Karma is one of the seven spiritual laws of success. One of the most common misconceptions about Karma is that it is your pre-ordained fate. Karma is more closely related to the physical law of Cause and Effect.

You create your Karma in the present through the choices that you make. You can influence your Karma by becoming aware of all the choices you make and the outcomes that you create. You then need to learn to make different choices, listening to your heart can help you to make choices that will lead to greater success.

A Spiritual " Conspiracy"

On the surface of our world right now there is war, violence, and craziness
and things may seem dark,But calmly and quietly at the same time
Something is happening underground. An inner revolution is taking place
and certain individuals are being called to a higher light.

It is a silent revolution from the inside out, from the ground up.

This is a global co-operation that has sleeper cells in every nation.
It is a planetary Spiritual Conspiracy. You won't likely see us on T.V.
You won't read about us in the newspaper. You won't hear from us on the radio.

We don't seek glory. We don't wear any uniform. We come in all shapes and sizes, colors and styles. We are in every country and culture of the world
In cities big and small, mountains and valleys. In farms, villages, tribes and remote islands.

Most of us work anonymously seeking not recognition of name But profound transformation of life. Working quietly behind the scenes you could pass by one of us on the street
And not even notice.

We go undercover not concerned for who takes the final credit, but simply that the work gets done. Many of us may seem to have normal jobs, But behind the external storefront is where the deeper work takes place. With the individual and collective power of our minds and hearts
We spread passion, knowledge, and joy to all. Some call us the Conscious Army As together we co-create a new world. Our orders come from the Spiritual Intelligence Agency
Instructing us to drop soft, secret love bombs when no one is looking.
Poems ~ Hugs ~ Music ~ Photography ~ Smiles ~ Kind words. Movies ~ Meditation and prayer ~ Dance ~ Websites
Social activism ~ Blogs ~ Random acts of kindness…

We each express ourselves in our own unique ways with our own unique gifts and talents.
"Be the change you want to see in the world"
That is the motto that fills our hearts. We know this is the path to profound transformation.
We know that quietly and humbly individually and collectively We have the power of all the oceans combined.
At first glance our work is not even visible. It is slow and meticulous Like the formation of mountains. And yet with our combined efforts entire tectonic plates
Are being shaped and moved for centuries to come.

Love is the religion we come to share and you don't need to be highly educated or have exceptional knowledge to understand it.
Love arises from the intelligence of the heart embedded in the timeless evolutionary pulse
of all living beings.

Be the change you want to see in the world. Nobody else can do it for you. Yet don't forget, we are all here supporting you.
We are now recruiting. Perhaps you will join us or already have. For in this spiritual conspiracy all are welcome, and all are loved.

The door is always open.

To love and be loved

Explaining Love in Words
Love is...patient and kind. How can we say we love someone if we get easily frustrated and treat them with disrespect?
Love is...rejoicing in the truth. Is it possible to love someone and deliberately lie to them? Love is...bearing all things. That means putting up with each other's faults. No one is perfect. Love is...believing all things. It doesn't mean we have doubt about someone. We should be able to take what someone says at face value.
It is trust. Love is...hopeful in all things. It's knowing that everything will work out for the best. Love is...enduring. That means it puts up with the little things that drive us crazy. Love is...never failing. Love is real when it can stand up to all these things. It looks for the best in others and brings these things out.

True love can stand the test of time. Being with someone for a long period of time allows you to go through different emotions and periods with that person. If your heart has the strength to weather through these different experiences with your lover, then both you and the relationship will grow stronger.

Love doesn't mean that your lover has the responsibility to keep you happy and vice versa. The only person who has the responsibility to make you happy is yourself. While you and your lover can make each other "happier", you shouldn't be solely dependent on each other for happiness. The couples who end up being happy together are made up of individuals who were happy to begin with. Keeping yourself happy is a hard enough responsibility, don't make it harder for yourself by letting another person's happiness be your responsibility too.

Love is sublime. Love gives power. Love gives determination. In love, many lovers do what they could never dream of. Empires have been sacrificed for love. Battles have been fought for love. Love has ruled mankind since ages. Those who experience love are truly lucky. Real love is supportive. Love is best seen as devotion and action, not an emotion. Love is not exclusively based on how we feel.

Certainly our emotions are involved, but they cannot be our only criteria for love. True devotion will always lead to action - true love.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. ... Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love is friendship set on fire." - unknown "
Love is an ideal thing, marriage a real thing." - Goethe "
To be in love is merely to be in a state of perceptual anesthesia." - H.L. Mencken
Love stretches your heart and makes you big inside." - Margaret Walker

"Love has no awareness of merit or demerit; it has no scale... Love loves; this is its nature." - Howard Thurman "

Love is like war: Easy to begin but hard to end." - Anonymous "Love consists in this, that two solitudes protect and touch and greet each other." - Rainer Maria Rilke

"Where love is, no room is too small." - Talmud

"Loves makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place." - Zora Neale Hurston "

Love is the irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired." - Mark Twain

First and foremost focus on yourself. Your dreams, your goals, your truth. Somebody who really loves you will love you even more if you are being your true self. Someone who cannot love you when you follow your excitement is not worth being loved by you! If your husband is angry with you because you take time to achieve your goals, then he is not supportive. If your wife is jealous because you have success and she doesn’t, then that is her problem. Don’t lose yourself, and your love will last. Focus on the reason why YOU are here on earth, make your mission the first priority in your life, and you will be loved for WHO you are. This is real love.

Love yourself, love your dream, love your mission, love your life, and surely enough, a wonderful person will show up and love you even more. What you are able to give to yourself, you will get back thousandfold from the outside world. If you are already in the energy of love, by simply loving yourself, then you will attract love from outside into your life. Make love last by loving yourself first. Love Love Love...

The Leaf and the Tree

When will you learn, myself, to be
a dying leaf on a living tree?
Budding, swelling, growing strong,
Wearing green, but not for long,
Drawing sustenance from air,
That other leaves, and you not there,
May bud, and at the autumn's call
Wearing russet, ready to fall?
Has not this trunk a deed to do
Unguessed by small and tremulous you?
Shall not these branches in the end
To wisdom and the truth ascend?
And the great lightning plunging by
Look sidewise with a golden eye
To glimpse a tree so tall and proud
It sheds its leaves upon a cloud?

Here, I think, is the heart's grief:
The tree, no mightier than the leaf,
Makes firm its root and spreads it crown
And stands; but in the end comes down.
That airy top no boy could climb
Is trodden in a little time
By cattle on their way to drink.
The fluttering thoughts a leaf can think,
That hears the wind and waits its turn,
Have taught it all a tree can learn.
Time can make soft that iron wood.
The tallest trunk that ever stood,
In time, without a dream to keep,
Crawls in beside the root to sleep.

Romance on a Budget

Romance On A Budget
by: Heidi Richards
Romance isn’t about spending money, it’s about spending time together, spending energy and creativity to attract and keep the relationship exciting and the love alive.
Romance isn't about how much money you lavish on another. It’s about attracting the object of your affection. Romance is about making dreams and fantasies come true. Romance is defined as “an exciting and mysterious quality; a relationship between two lovers.”
It is the “act of making your partner feel loved.” Romance is more than an act, it’s a state of being. It’s the heart, the soul and the mind working together to create an adventure, and increase enthusiasm for one another.

“Romance means intimacy and connection, which means paying attention to detail. It’s making her lunch or giving him a massage. It’s making the bed together and cuddling. It’s holding hands and leaving little “love notes” around the house. It’s touching and feeling and listening and sharing. It’s excitement and serenity, spontaneity and planning. It’s telling the other person what you want, and doing the things the other person likes. It’s connecting deeply.

Romance is about timing, imagination, exploration and creativity. Being Romantic is about…. being creative, being willing to take a risk. Sometimes it’s being sweet. Sometimes it’s being silly. Romance is about … the right attitude. And attitude can cost you a little or a lot. True romantics have the right attitude; and use imagination to cultivate loving, sensual relationships.

So just how do you develop the right attitude? Start out with little acts of affection, little things to show you care and can be romantic. Here are a few suggestions (excerpted from the book, Romance on a Budget) to help you spark your imagination.

- This Kiss (#10) – You must remember this; a kiss is still a kiss… kiss often. Repeat several times.

- Look into My Eyes (#11) – When you gaze into each others eyes, everyone else seems to disappear. And looking intensely at one another can send a message to your lover that can lead to other things.

- You Light up my Life (#15) - Spray the perfume or cologne you wear on a light bulb. When the light is turned on the scent of you will fill the room.

- What a Feeling (#19) – Tell your love how much you appreciate him/her. Write your message on a post-it-note and stick it where it is sure to be found.

- Get out of your Comfort Zone (Intro) – Do something impulsive, even a little risky that will excite your lover and ignite the romance.

Like the song says “Love Don’t come easy.” I believe that “Romance Don’t Come Easy. “ But with a little practice and planning, the results can be thrillllllllling….

What is Love?

One of the most commonly asked questions, What is Love?
What is its exact definition? Well, there can never be a definite answer. Everyone got his or her own answer to it. To some it can be really simple while to others, it can get really complicated.
But one definite thing that is for sure, everybody needs love. It is a basic human need; we are not born into this world to be alone. It has always been our natural instinct as human to reach out to people, to be with and accepted by others.

Consciously or subconsciously, everyone is searching and waiting for that special someone to appear in his or her life.

But where and when will this special someone appear? For all you may know, he or she could be just nearby or even just beside you. It all depends on fate a lot would say. Fate? Well fate is again, something that cannot be explained, something that is always so amazing. Think about it. Among the millions and millions of people who could be out there, why is it that you had somehow met your friends to later become th best of friends? Got retrenched, feeling so terrible and disappointed but to later find your love among your new colleagues in your new job? Life has just suddenly become so beautiful?
Well, this is indeed a very true encounter of a friend of mine. Hmm… thinking about it, isn’t there also kind of a fate between you and me that you are actually reading this article right now? Everything is like all so miraculously arranged, having a reason behind every event that happened.

Do you believe in fate? Personally I definitely do. But again, are we really going to be just sitting around doing nothing, waiting for fate to just come by? Well, I wouldn’t think so. If you are not going to help yourself, who is going to? Fate has always been around us. As long as we are in places where there are people, presence it may be. Many at times, it had actually been there but somehow we just didn’t realized and cherished it when it was there. Sad to know of it, isn't it so? Well, sometimes we were just too obsessed with our works, dreams and nevertheless too high an expectation that we missed to see it, to cherish that someone who was all along just beside us. It is only too late to realize it now, an opportunity won’t drop by twice. Your happiness lies in your own hand, don’t live your life a regret. I am sure you wanna have a life that is so full of fond memories than with tons of regrets, don’t you? Think about it.

Let us just open up ourselves shall we? Everyday is a beautiful day, stop burying yourself with that tons of endless work. Make time for yourself, reach out, make more friends, make new friends, widen up your social circle, live a balanced healthy social life. Make life enjoyable; you will see things in a more different way. You might be going, “Hmm… why is it that all this while, I have never noticed that she is actually such a pretty girl.” Well, in fact this is how true love comes about. It doesn’t always have to be a love at first sight, to be attracted to his or her physical look. Sometimes it is through an initial friendship, enjoying the companion of one another that along time, you discover the beauty of his or her inner human qualities, unknowingly falling in love with the person. Wouldn’t this be a more beautiful and meaningful love than to a love at first sight?

Remember, love has always been a game ever awaiting your participation. Just as in life, it is a game of chance; if you never try you can never win. Well if you did not find your love today, Do not be disappointed. It is just like missing the last boat leaving the dock. There will always be another one to pick you up the next morning? And always will there be.

Why You Need To Constantly Say 'I Love You So Much'

When you enter into a relationship, all you say to your spouse is 'I love you so much'. When you love a person so much, you are willing to do anything for them; to make them happy.
However, some time down the line the words 'I love you so much' tend to disappear if not fade away. This is mainly because reality has set in and life has to go on as usual. Many think that falling in love will happen like a fairy tale but, reality states otherwise.
This is not to say that marriage or any other commitment cannot be totally
blissful but, it is to suggest that a lot needs to be done for
couples to reach this stage.

Love is a treasure that needs to be safeguarded. This is the attitude that you are supposed to enter with in any relationship. Love is a beautiful thing but, some give it the ugly face.

Choose to be one of those people who appreciate love for what it really is. When you respect it, you will find the reason for safeguarding it. Saying to your partner 'I love you so much' is very important and you should say it often. This does not just refer to men alone. Women also need to say the words. This is the only way to make the spouse feel appreciated and important.
There are so many things that make those words fade away. The following are some of the things that cause couples to become estranged. First, commitments to family obligations like children leave barely enough time for spouses to have quality time together. More and more couples have become very busy in this regard at the expense of saying words like 'I love you so much'. It sounds very easy to say the words but couples will tell you that the words can totally disappear.

It you want to have a spouse to come home to at the end of the day, it is vital that you work towards your relationship while you still have time. One thing that spouses forget is that it is the little things that make the most difference. Saying those words is pretty simple and, you can say them from the bottom of your heart and cover for so much. One thing that you should never forget is that, for you to have a strong family, you need to strengthen the love between couples.
This is the only way that a family can share true joy. Saying the words 'I love you so much' will therefore not only build your marriage but, it will build your family. The other thing that can hinder those words from coming out is bitterness. Bitterness comes from many things in a marriage or relationship. Conflicts will always be there and, it does not really matter what the problem is. You need to confront the problems head on and deal with the problem. This way, you will have the chance to say the words without any regrets. You must always find room for forgiveness if you want to move to the next level.

Learn to Trust the Law of Cause and Effect

Mastering Your Mind Power: Learn to Trust the Law of Cause and Effect

Every cause has an effect, and every effect has a cause. How do you determine what is cause and what is effect?

Do you have a role in producing either? If so, just what is your role? If you do not have a role, is there someone or something that plays a role for you in this cause and effect law?

These questions go straight to the heart of every thing and every condition that exists in our world, including ourselves. The rule of thumb that I have learned and use to make the distinction between cause and effect is the following. Anything that exists that is perceptible to the physical senses, i.e., sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell, is in the realm of effect. Generally, all that exists that is not perceptible to the physical senses is in the realm of cause.

All causes that relate to me exist within me, just as I believe all causes that relate to you exist within you. Cause consists of the thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and mental images in my mind, my consciousness. Cause consists of the never ending string of possibilities presented to me in consciousness from which I choose.

By choosing from the possibilities, and making that choice the object of my focus and observation (cause), I know what effect to expect. Here is the rub. If I do not consciously choose from the endless stream of possibilities, I inadvertently, unconsciously make choices (cause) anyway.

By neglecting to consciously make choices of the thoughts ideas, and mental images on which to focus, unconscious choices are made for me, drawn from my past experiences. When the effect of that inadvertent, unconscious choice (cause) comes into my experience (effect) I will likely look at other effects as the cause.

Be forewarned. Occasional, half hearted, focus cannot be viewed as cause and is not likely to change much in your life outcomes. A pound of salt dropped into Lake Michigan is not going to change the lake into a salt water lake. If, however, you direct a powerful stream of salt into the lake over a significant period, it will make noticeable changes in the makeup of the lake.

I trust that you can now see, as I have seen, that mastering your mind power is critical to your success in accessing more of the riches of life. The riches are there for you. It truly does not matter what the conditions of your life have been up to this point.

You can begin now, or continue, to shift your consciousness in the direction of your desires. Make your desires the object of your focus (cause) and you will no longer have to live in fear and worry in relation to the effects you experience.

Once you feel, really feel that you have accepted the object of your focus into your deeper mind (cause) trust the Law of Cause and Effect to do its work. It must produce the desired outcome (effect) if you let it. Do not look out upon the effects around you seeking the appearance of your desire. Each time you look into the world of effects and do not see it, you will likely begin to reinforce your old belief that you DO NOT HAVE IT. You in effect, begin to push your desire away before it can materialize.

This I know for sure. You can claim or re-claim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

Manifesting your desires and goals.

Cosmic Ordering - Order Yourself A New Life!

As we're only too well aware of, the vast majority of the human population is continuously searching for ways to lead better and more fulfilled lives. We constantly strive to acquire all those comforts in life which allow us to feel good about ourselves and while many recipes for success exist, none are quite as good as cosmic ordering.

Exactly what is cosmic ordering? Cosmic ordering, simply put, is a spiritual practice where a person is able to receive exactly what they want from the universe. You ask for, or 'order' something, and it is given to you. While it is true that cosmic ordering is a spiritual practice, don't be dismayed thinking that you have to behave as a saint behaves and only do good deeds in order to reap the rewards of cosmic ordering. While behaving well is a benefit, it is not required.

From a spiritual point of view, cosmic ordering is simply the manifestation of your desires and goals. Whatever you are wanting, whether it's a change in the way you live your life, or whether you want to establish a brighter future, all you need to do, is to order your wishes from the universe.

According to Drs. Deepak Chopra and Wayne Dyer, you must be within your 'field of intent' to successfully place an order with the universe. The field of intent is an energy field, while obviously invisible, connects our spirit to the universe. When this connection is made, our conscious desires are returned.

In all probability, at some stage of your life, you've really wanting something so bad and then as if  magic, you received it and thought what a coincidence it was. Wrong! What you experienced was in fact the power of cosmic ordering working for you.

If you want cosmic ordering to work for, you really have to want what you're asking for. In fact, you have to want it more than anything else and together with this, you need to believe beyond all doubt that you deserve it as well. For this reason we can see why it is said that this entire ordering process depends on the power of your intent.

Do you want a better life? Well, before trying cosmic ordering, ask yourself if you deserve a better life. If your answer is no then cosmic ordering won't work for you because you need to believe you deserve it. If you've answered yes, then go straight ahead and ask because if you know you deserve it, you will be granted your wish.

When compared to the vast amount of alternative recipes for success, cosmic ordering must surely be about the easiest but of course as with so many things in life; cosmic ordering also has its pros and cons. With this process, the biggest obstacle we face is a negative attitude as this brings about negative results.

If you go through your day at work believing that you are about to get fired then sure enough, you are going to lose your job. Spend your time focusing on positive things. Always think about the good things in life that you want and that you deserve.

Many individuals have gone through years of their lives surrounded by unhappiness. They feel that they do not deserve anything better. This feeling of not feeling good enough is deeply ingrained in their personalities. These people will probable never be able to manifest what they truly want.

For some, you may have to dedicate a little time to preparing your subconscious mind because in many cases, it's a person's subconscious mind which is refusing to allow you to believe you deserve anything you want. Perhaps the biggest cause of this is the way in which we are brought up as kids.

It's really not hard to effectively communicate with your subconscious.
Communication can be through self-hypnosis, meditation and affirmations.

Feng Shui Love Symbol- Mandarin Duck

For centuries, Feng Shui has served as a guiding light to many, showing the way to
success, health, and happiness. There are many aspects of this discipline that come into play in determining the state of a home, workplace, or place of business. Even in the manner people perceive love and relationships, Feng Shui items have provided answers. As they have been used and trusted for many years, so are these beliefs held today.

Among the most well-known Feng Shui products that symbolize love and relationships are the Mandarin Ducks, known in Chinese as Yuan-yuang. These magnificent and affectionate creatures have been featured in many Feng Shui enhancers because of how perfectly they represent togetherness, fidelity, and love. When observed in the natural habitat, the male and female Mandarin Duck are always close together, and very rarely will you see one that is all alone. Chinese legend has it that if either one is separated from its mate, the Mandarin Duck will be devastated. It will yearn for its partner, and die from loneliness. In the same way that the Mandarin Duck loves and values its mate, so should the man and woman become in their relationship.

In the realm of Feng Shui products, Mandarin Ducks are commonly used as Feng Shui cures for people who are single, searching for a partner, or are unlucky when it comes to love. Even for married couples, Mandarin Ducks are still popular Feng Shui enhancers to have around the home, as they strengthen the togetherness of the husband and wife, and also help them achieve marital bliss.

As one of the effective Feng Shui remedies for love, devotion, marriage luck, and fidelity, the Feng Shui Mandarin Ducks should be placed in the South West portion of the house, or the South West portion of the bedroom. It has been said that as traditional Feng Shui cures, the Mandarin Ducks allow its owner or anyone near it to emit a strong love chi. This can make you more lovable and more attractive to your potential partner. As for married couples, the strong love chi given by the Mandarin Ducks keeps them happy together, making them love each other more deeply.

My Special Friendship

DO YOU BELIEVE

Do You Believe?
Look into your heart and tell me what you see.
Am I still on your mind; are you thinking of me?
Do you wake in the night and let out a sigh?
Do you whisper my name and wonder why;
I can't be there with you tonight?
With you in my arms, holding you tight?

Do you believe in the miracle of Love
Do you believe in you
Do you believe in Love
Do you believe it could happen to you

Take me in your arms, don't ever leave
With you in my arms, I'll make you believe!
I believe in Love, always and forever.
I believe in us, you and I together.
I can't believe Love is pain,
You have everything to lose and nothing to gain.
Tell me you believe and look into my eyes...
Do you believe... I'm not like the other guys?

Hold on tight, for I've given you my heart;
Heart and soul from the very start.
For your Love, I'll wait forever
With all my heart, I believe we'll be together.
Tell me you believe Love is bliss,
That you can believe in the magic of our first kiss.
Answer me one question, now, before I leave...
Tell me, Do You Believe?

Friends Forever

I'm sending this poem to show you I care,
To say thank you for being there.
Best friends we'll always be,
In every problem, it's you and me.
Through thick and thin, I won't go away.
And just the same, I hope you'll stay.
As we go through life, things won't change.
Let's not let our friendship rearrange.
I'll make new friends, and so will you,
But we won't split up like others do.
With our friendship staying strong,
We'll be together right or wrong.
Though we might occasionally have a fight,
We'll always make up by the end of the night.
As my best friend, you mean lots to me,
It's a bond you'll always see.
So, in a jam, no need to worry.
I'll be at your side in a hurry.
I know you're there for me too,
I think you know, I'll be there for you!
In life, friends may come and go.
But, there's a special friend you'll always know.
They are there when you need them. No questions asked.
Their love is permanent, it will never pass.
They'll always be with you, leave you never.
And that's why we'll be friends forever!
And if for some reason, we are torn apart,
Remember, you'll always be in my heart.

True Love

 True love. Is it normal

is it serious, is it practical?
What does the world get from two people
who exist in a world of their own?

Placed on the same pedestal for no good reason,
drawn randomly from millions but convinced
it had to happen this way - in reward for what?
For nothing.
The light descends from nowhere.
Why on these two and not on others?
Doesn't this outrage justice? Yes it does.
Doesn't it disrupt our painstakingly erected principles,
and cast the moral from the peak? Yes on both accounts.

Look at the happy couple.
Couldn't they at least try to hide it,
fake a little depression for their friends' sake?
Listen to them laughing - its an insult.
The language they use - deceptively clear.
And their little celebrations, rituals,
the elaborate mutual routines -
it's obviously a plot behind the human race's back!

It's hard even to guess how far things might go
if people start to follow their example.
What could religion and poetry count on?
What would be remembered? What renounced?
Who'd want to stay within bounds?

True love. Is it really necessary?
Tact and common sense tell us to pass over it in silence,
like a scandal in Life's highest circles.
Perfectly good children are born without its help.
It couldn't populate the planet in a million years,
it comes along so rarely.

Let the people who never find true love
keep saying that there's no such thing.

Their faith will make it easier for them to live and die.

Cyber dating... Kathy and Todd in the Fall of 2006

I had tried love at AOL and met a lot of men... all at local coffee shops so that I would be safe and could decide if it was someone with whom I would be interested in. Nobody ever seemed to be what I was truly looking for.

Then one summer day in 2001 I received a response from an ad that I placed with AOL. It was a guy named Todd who was employed by an airline in a city nearby. He lived about 40 minutes from me and seemed very nice. We emailed for about a week...then he had to leave to help a friend move across the country. I figured I wouldn't hear from him again, although he did send his pic to me and I found him attractive.

Low and behold, he instant messaged me upon his return home about a week later. We made a date to meet on that Sunday coming at a coffee shop in the city I resided. He drove down on his motorcycle and we had breakfast together that morning. I really liked him a lot. He was so kind and such a gentlemen - how refreshing it was!

We took a ride on his motorcycle and ended up about 20 miles away at the ocean. It was fantastic! We shared an ice cream and a wonderful conversation. It was the best day I have had in years. We continued to date and get to know each other. At one point we almost ended our relationship because he failed to tell me that he was married twice before. We worked through that and remained together. After dating for about 13 months we talked about having a child together..he was 35 and I was 37.

Although he was married before neither of those woman were able to give him a child (lucky for me!)..2 months later I found out I was pregnant. We married in January of 2003 and our son was born in June of 2003. We sold both of our properties that we separately owned and bought a home of our own in the next state over from where we met. We are going strong and so much in love.

My oldest son is 14yrd old now and happy to have a little brother. My little guy is 3 yrs old and would steal your heart. I am so happy that "cyber dating" existed  I do tell people that you must be so careful and play smart, but your prince charming may only be an instant message away!
